NSW:Man walks free after originally jailed for life on murders=2
During Heatley's most recent trial, the court was told the two victims were shot dead
during a bungled robbery at the Asquith factory.
It heard the factory was often used to store chemicals necessary for the manufacture
of illegal drugs.
Heatley was jailed for life for the murders after his second trial in 1998, but the
conviction was overturned and a new trial ordered.
His first trial and third trials were aborted and the fourth and fifth trials resulted
in a hung jury.
Heatley had been remanded in custody throughout the legal process.
